Itinerary

Day by day

Day 1

Arrive in Eugene

Arrival

We'll take care of getting you settled. Airport pickup is included, and we'll make sure everyone's bikes arrive at the hotel safely — no wrestling bike boxes into a rental car.

Once we reach the hotel, you'll have time to unwind: shower, take a nap, and enjoy a welcome snack waiting in your room. While you relax, our professional mechanics will build and tune your bikes so they're ready to ride.

Once everyone's settled, we'll head out for a short shakeout ride to make sure everything is dialed in before the real riding begins. We finish the day with a welcome dinner and walk through the plan for the days ahead.

Day 2

Wolf Creek to Lorane

Riding day
Distance
~72 miles
Climbing
~4,000 ft

The longest day of the week, and the one people will talk about afterwards. Quiet farm and forest roads carry you from Wolf Creek out to Lorane through timber and open valley farmland, with steady rolling climbs and very little traffic. Support vehicle on course all day, stocked rest stops, ride leader up front.

Day 3

Frame builder tour

Rest day

Eugene builds bikes out of proportion to its size. We spend the day meeting the people who make them.

Co-Motion Cycles — building steel and titanium frames here since 1988, best known for tandems and coupled travel bikes that pack down for flights. A walk through the shop from tube stock to paint booth.

English Cycles — Rob English builds every frame himself, one at a time, including record-setting lightweight bikes and one-off time trial machines. A rare look inside a true one-man shop.

Bike Friday — Eugene's folding and travel bike specialists, hand-building frames that pack into a suitcase. See how a full-size ride gets engineered to fit in a checked bag.

Day 5

Wine tasting

Rest day

Oregon is known for Pinot Noir, and the Willamette Valley is the reason why. Cool nights, volcanic soils, and a long, slow ripening season give the wines a depth that gets them mentioned alongside Burgundy. Eugene sits at the southern end of the valley, surrounded by the vineyards that built that reputation.

Riders get the day fully off the bike. A private limo collects the group at the hotel and moves between some of the area's most iconic tasting rooms, so nobody has to drive, navigate, or draw the short straw.

A short, scenic spin to loosen the legs, followed by a tour of Hayward Field — the ground that made Eugene "Track Town USA" — and the history of distance running that grew up alongside it.

Day 8

Pack up and farewell dinner

Departure

Your last full day is deliberately unhurried. Sleep in, or take an easy spin along the river if the legs want one more turn. Our mechanics will break down and box your bikes while you pack, so nothing gets rushed.

The afternoon is yours in Eugene — the Saturday Market, a last coffee downtown, or nothing at all. In the evening we gather one final time for a farewell dinner. Airport shuttles run the following morning, timed to your flights.
