Post-Ride Beers

PNW Ride Network is a community-powered calendar and directory for cycling across the Pacific Northwest.
I wanted to create this site because the region has a rich and active cycling culture spanning road, gravel, mountain biking, bikepacking, commuting, racing, fixed gear, bike polo, cyclocross, social riding, and advocacy, but there hasn’t been a simple, shared way to see what’s happening across the region.
Each year, my friends and I would build spreadsheets of rides and events we were interested in. It was time-consuming, but it was the easiest way we had to plan our seasons and collaborate.
At the same time, there are so many good rides, events, clubs, and organizations doing meaningful work, and much of it lives in separate newsletters, social feeds, websites, and word of mouth. If you are already connected, it works well. If you are new, visiting, or just outside the right circles, it is easy to miss a lot.
I realized others were doing the same thing, so I started asking, “Why isn’t there a shared calendar?” Friends who have been in the community longer than I have told me stories of similar efforts that once existed but have since faded away. That motivated me even more, not just to build a calendar, but to create something that could connect all the pieces and make sure good efforts do not get lost.
PNW Ride Network exists to make rides, events, clubs, and cycling organizations easier to discover, and to help organizers reach beyond their existing circles. It is not a replacement for existing platforms or communities, but a connective layer that helps people find them.
I also want our blog to share useful tips for PNW riding, highlight the amazing rides happening across the region, showcase PNW-made brands, and spotlight clubs, bike shops, and stories from local riders. I hope to help archive some of the historical knowledge within our communities as well.
My goal is to make participation more accessible, visibility more equitable, and the cycling ecosystem easier to navigate for everyone.
How to engage with PNW Ride Network
You can use the site in a few simple ways:
- Explore the calendar to find upcoming rides, races, events, and gatherings across the region.
- Search the directory to discover clubs, teams, shops, and cycling organizations.
- Submit a ride or event if you organize something and want others to find it.
- Share the site with friends, clubs, or new riders who are looking for ways to get involved.
- Subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date on site news, blog posts, and upcoming rides.
Beyond using the site, I hope it can be a place to support the broader cycling ecosystem. That includes highlighting community-led projects, fundraising efforts, volunteer opportunities, and partnerships that strengthen safe, inclusive, and accessible riding across the region. If you are working on a project or fundraising effort, I would love for you to share it so it can be included on our Get Involved page.
If you notice something missing, out of date, or miscategorized, I would genuinely appreciate hearing about it. This site only works if it reflects the community it serves.
If you organize rides, events, or community gatherings, I invite you to add them. If you are looking for ways to ride or support cycling in the PNW, I hope you find something here that helps you connect.
